Weather wise I’m talking about. The last 6 weeks has seen some amazing “twists and turns” in the weather, rain, winds 35 degrees one day and 23 the next, Sun and clouds. For most cities this is “normal” but here in our “micro-climate” I personally think it has been a strange start to the year. On a down note, robberies here continue but have “died down” since the arrest by The Guardia Civil, of the perpetrators of the “mini crime wave” I mentioned in my last Newsletter, last month. Continual Vigilance by all of us here in the Vecinos Association helps the various “Police Forces” and if you should see or hear anything unusual in our Neighbourhood – please call them on 112. The “Whats App” Neighbourhood Watch Group also helps in the quick passing of Information in this area. Not just for Break-ins and Robberies but it has also been useful in giving information for example when the “False Gas Inspections” are in the area or suspicious cars or vans. Should anyone wish to join please let me have your mobile phone numbers and I will add you to the group. It has been put together by our webmaster Terry Miles over the years and is an excellent Vehicle of communication for us all. The Summer Party 30th June 2017 By now everyone should have received their Invitations to the Summer Ball to be held once again at Don Cayo Golf Club. I am slightly concerned as, when sending e-mails into the “Abyss of the Internet”, I am not always certain that members receive their Invitations as whilst I get some replies declining the Invitation it never relates to the Numbers attending the Party. It is a completely free Dinner with Live Music from A wonderful Cellist throughout the meal and Dancing this year to Suzi Q who has entertained us previously. The Formal Invitations have been sent now and on behalf of the Board I would ask you to inform any “new neighbour’s” to the area about joining the Vecinos association - as this will entitle them to a free Invite also to this annual social event. Any guests you may have staying with you at the time of the ball may attend for a small charge of 25€. It is a Lovely Evening and gives you the opportunity to meet with your fellow neighbour’s in the Sierras. If you have not received your Invitation please check your Junk Mail- we may be Lurking There!!!!!! If there are any points that you wish the Committee to discuss our next meeting is on Friday 23rd June at 12.00 midday at Don Cayo Golf Course or come along yourself and put your point forward yourself – we’d be pleased to see you.
