Fire started by emptying hot ashes from a fire into the garden. Make sure they are cold.

A van burst into flames on 21 December 2011 but luckily did not catch to local underbrush or trees.

A serious house fire in Calle Azalea on 27th December 2011. It is believed to have been caused by a fault in the electrical wiring in the house but this has not been confirmed. The interior of the house was completely destroyed. Luckily it did not spread to the overhanging trees and under brush which could have caused a catastrophic wild fire in the Sierra.

The Asociación is working with the Ayuntamiento on measures to reduce the risk of fires, and procedures in the event of fires.
